the balance in life

well to start off with the good. rell had her 6 month check up yesterday and is doing wonderful. she weighed in at 15.75lbs and is 26 1/2 inches long. so for all you wondering where she is percentile-wise, i found out. she is 50% for weight and about 75% for height. hopefully she keeps the height thing going. and she is just developing at an astronomical speed. i will get more pictures posted too.

on the other side of it all, we had to make a tough decision yesterday. we decided it was time for gar to be at peace. he has graced us with 14 years of pure enjoyment, laughter and a true companionship only a dog could give. he was there for us, no matter what time he got feed, how late we got home, how much we ignored him at times, he was just the greatest dog ever. he will forever hold a special place in our hearts. i just keep telling myself that it is nice to allow this passage with decency. mike is having a very hard time. he cherished gar soo much and they were the best of buds throughout the years. it is mike's last link to his previous life before being with me. gar, you will forever be in our hearts and we will meet up again soon. for now, find all our other pets and family members and let them enjoy you as we did. we love you!
